The Montessori Children's Room accepts children from Toddler age (18 months and walking) to First Grade. This is a full academic program — children enroll for the school year and follow a real curriculum from day one. On a space available basis we will enroll a child during the year.
Admission Requirements
Length of Day
Our school day runs from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Our half day program runs from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Before and after school programs are available for enrolled students between 7:30–9:00am and 3:30–5:30pm.
Daily Enrollment
Toddlers and Pre-school aged children enroll for a minimum of three days. Kindergarten and First Grade students must be enrolled for all 5 days with minimum hours of 9:00am to 3:30pm.
Vaccination Policy
Families are required to submit a copy of the child's current vaccination record at the time of application. Applicants must be current with the required vaccines. Medical exemptions from immunizations will be accepted subject to the review of a State official.
Policies
We have a non-discriminatory admission policy. Children are placed on class lists and waiting lists in order of submission of application form and deposit. Preference is given to returning children, siblings of enrolled children and the school's need for balanced classes.
